Tito Guglielmi

Associate Consultant


Mr. Guglielmi brings a multidisciplinary approach to meat processing advisory assignments, benefiting from his experience as a Professional Engineer holding an M.B.A and his many years in operations management in the meat processing sector. Mr Guglielmi has over 20 years of experience in the meat processing, baked goods and cold storage sectors. Prior to 1997, Mr. Guglielmi was Director of Engineering at Schneider Corporation and Plant Engineer at Canada Packers. Subsequent to 1997, Mr. Guglielmi was Managing Director Consultant, Food and Beverage Sector, with a leading Canadian-based international consulting firm.

Mr. Guglielmi has experience completing industrial food processing design, financial and operational due diligence analysis, as well as feasibility studies for greenfield investments, plant renovations, upgrades and expansions. He has completed over 50 meat processing sector projects and a variety of refrigerated storage, bakery, feed milling and other food related projects.

Mr. Guglielmi's recent project advisory assignments include

  • Pork, Beef and Veal: due diligence for beef slaughter / boning / packaging facility; feasibility studies for processed meat plant capacity expansions and beef slaughter / boxed beef processing facility; process design and project management for pork processing facilities, pork processing facility expansions, bacon processing plant capacity expansion, dry curing ham, cooked ham and sausage processing; rationalization study to streamline three meat processing facilities to determine potential for streamlining of manufacturing processes and process capacity optimization; HACCP certification of beef slaughter/fabrication facility, engineering and project management for renovations to high volume wiener processing facility.
  • Poultry: analysis of red meat / poultry further processing facility to develop long range capacity expansion plan; capacity expansion study for chick hatchery; HACCP evaluation for a turkey primary / further processing operations; poultry further processing plant capacity expansion; design of whole muscle cooked ham processing facility; design and project management for plant/process expansion for duck processing facility; forensic investigations for facility fires.
  • Refrigerated / Cold Storage: pre-purchase due diligence assessments for refrigerated / frozen cold storage facilities; design, process and construction management for poultry primary processing air chill process addition; feasibility studies; design and project management for development of refrigerated / frozen storage / distribution centers.
  • Baked Goods and Other: design and project management for bakery, pastry and bagel plant expansions and renovations; feasibility study for development of livestock feed manufacturing / milling operation.

Mr. Gugliemi's recent international advisory work includes projects in the Middle East, Russia, and Mexico.

Mr. Guglielmi holds a Master of Business Administration, Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada, and a Bachelor of Applied Science, Mechanical Engineering, University of Waterloo, Canada. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer.
